COCOA, Florida – Two teenage boys are facing felony charges for allegedly ransacking classrooms and stealing iPads on Saturday at Cambridge Elementary School located at 2000 Cambridge Drive in Cocoa, Florida.
Just after 6 a.m. on Monday, Cocoa Police responded to Cambridge Elementary School following a call from an employee who reported multiple classrooms had been ransacked.
Upon arrival, police discovered that nearly every classroom had been broken into with property destroyed and several iPads were stolen.
Investigators say that surveillance video indicates the burglary occurred on Saturday afternoon. The alleged juvenile burglars forced their way into the building through the windows and stole keys to access the classrooms.
After their parents saw photos of the duo on the news, they turned in their children, ages 14 and 16.
The boys are being held at the Juvenile Detention Center. They were not released back to their parents with a court date.
