Two Arrested For Sunrise Village Mobile Home Park Murder In Cocoa

COCOA, Florida – Cocoa police detectives arrested two suspects Monday for the murder of 22-year-old Dimitric Bailey who was shot late Sunday as he sat in his vehicle parked at the end of Vagabond Street in the Sunrise Village Mobile Home Park In Cocoa, Florida.

22-year-old Xavier Deon Turner and 20-year-old Kenneth Monte Levatt, Jr. are each facing a charge of first-degree felony murder, robbery with a firearm and tampering with evidence.

On Sunday at 8:39 p.m., police dispatchers received a 911 call from a person reporting a man slumped over in his vehicle.

The engine was running and the victim, later identified as Bailey, was in the driver seat with at least two gunshot wounds.

Officers and fire-rescue medics confirmed he was deceased in the vehicle.

Police say that Turner and Levatt, Jr. met Bailey in the vehicle with intent to rob him of drugs and money.

During the course of the robbery, one of the suspects allegedly shot Bailey.

The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are continuing to follow leads in order to strengthen the case for convictions upon prosecution.
