Universal Orlando Announces New Theme Park

Universal Studios Orlando announced today plans to build a new theme park named Universal’s Epic Universe.

Universal’s Epic Universe will be the fourth park at Universal Orlando Resort which already continues to expand with the construction of new resort hotels.

The new new 750-acre location will feature a theme park, an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants and more.

“Guests will venture beyond their wildest imagination, traveling into beloved stories and through vibrant lands on adventures where the journey is as astounding as the destination,” Universal Orlando stated.

Although Universal did not announce which lands and attractions will be in Universal’s Epic Universe, theme park blogs have published leaks and rumors for over a year that the lands might consist of a Super Nintendo land with Pokemon, Mario Kart and other characters and a How to Train Your Dragon land.

The fourth park is near Universal’s other theme parks but only connected by the often-congested Kirkman Road and Universal Boulevard.  So park-hopping travel time could cost a significant amount of time out of your day.
