Two Killed On U.S. 1 In Melbourne Crash

Fatal crash Melbourne, Florida September 11, 2019.

MELBOURNE, Florida – Two  Brevard County men died as a result of injuries they sustained in a crash that occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, near the intersection of U.S. 1 and Silver Oak Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida.

81-year-old Peter Avner of Melbourne was driving a 2017 Kia SUV northbound on U.S. 1.

Meanwhile, 68-year-old Rabilal Nandlal of Melbourne was driving a 2016 Nissan pickup truck southbound on U.S. 1.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Avner lost control of the Kia and traveled into the southbound lanes.

The Kia then struck the frount of the Nissan head-on.

After the initial collision, the front left of the Avner’s Kia then struck the right rear of a 2016 Kia driven by Takisha Webber of Melbourne.

Webber’s Kia was then rear-ended by a 2014 Honda SUV driven by Fatemeh Joudaki of Rockledge, Florida.

Avner and Nandlal died as a result of the crash.

Webber suffered minor injuries and Joudaki did not suffer any injuries.

All drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
