WEST MELBOURNE, Florida – On September 25, 2019, at approximately 3:00 pm the West Melbourne Police Department responded to a robbery at the Regions Bank located at 1051 West New Haven Avenue in West Melbourne, Florida.
According to WMPD, the suspect entered the bank and presented a note to the bank teller.
The bank teller handed the suspect an unknown amount of money.
The suspect then fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect did not display a weapon or harm anyone.
The suspect is described as a white male with a short dark beard, possibly in his early 20’s, thin build, and approximately 5’10”.
He was wearing a black ball cap, dark sunglasses, a black long sleeve shirt, and blue jeans.
According to FBI crime statistics, bank robberies are committed in the southern United States more than any other region in the U.S. The most common form of bank robbery is a demand note.
