Be Kind, Share a Sign – World Kindness Day, November 13, 2019

MERRITT ISLAND, Florida – Tropical Elementary’s Tropical Kingdom (TK – Transitional Kindergarten class) is kindly requesting that residents of Brevard County and beyond help spread Kindness by decorating their yards and businesses with Signs of Kindness on World Kindness Day, Tuesday, November 13, 2019.

Create your own Kindness sign or purchase one created by Tropical Elementary students at https://accounthub.imagedepotexpress.com/trop_elem_kindness/shop/home.

Tropical Elementary’s Kindness Signs cost $20 and can be purchased up until this coming Friday, October 25, 2019, and help support Tropical Kingdom’s Kindness Initiatives. Otherwise, swing by a store and create your own Kindness Sign.

Use the Kindness Symbol and Kind words to decorate your sign!

Tropical Kingdom’s request stems from an ongoing initiative to make the Kindness Symbol the official symbol of Kindness, started by last year’s TK classroom with the creation of the Kindness symbol and the petition (togetherkind.com), and continuing with letters, signs, and community projects.

The Kindness Petition currently holds more than 4700 signatures with hopes of reaching 5000 signatures by Halloween!

The Kindness Symbol has also caught the attention of several cities in Brevard County, Florida.

The Cities of Cocoa, Cape Canaveral, Melbourne, Rockledge, Satellite Beach, Titusville, and Palm Bay have all recognized and adopted the symbol as the official symbol of Kindness.

The City of Cocoa Beach is soon to make a Proclamation of Kindness, on Thursday, November 7, 2019, with TK students reading the proclamation.

Cities outside of Brevard County, Florida have adopted the Kindness Symbol as well: Key West, Florida, Bellbrook, Ohio and Green County, Ohio.

Brevard Public Schools and Brevard County Commissioners have also adopted the official symbol of Kindness.

So you’re preparing a Kindness Sign for World Kindness Day, Tuesday, November 13, 2019. How else can you assist Tropical Elementary’s Tropical Kingdom in spreading Kindness?

Write a letter to your Florida Legislators to support the Kindness Symbol, as Representative Tyler Sirois will be introducing the Kindness Symbol to the Legislators in January of 2020.

And of course, if you haven’t already, please help spread Kindness by signing and sharing the petition to make the Kindness Symbol the Official Symbol of Kindness at TogetherKind.com. Like, follow, and share on Facebook as well at TogetherKind.
