2nd Person Dies, Victims Identified In Cocoa Beach Rollover Crash

COCOA BEACH, Florida – Two people were killed and one was seriously injured in a rollover crash that occurred on State Road A1A near Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2109.

80-year-old Apollo Corapi of Cocoa Beach, Florida was driving a silver 2014 Nissan pickup traveling southbound in the 1500 block of North Atlantic Avenue (State Road A1A).

Meanwhile, 32-year-old Timothy Bahus of West Melbourne, Florida was making a left turn onto Bahama Boulevard in a 2019 Ford from traveling northbound on State Road A1A.

The Nissan pickup then collided with the Ford.

As a result of the impact, the Nissan rolled over and entrapped both occupants which required extrication by Cocoa Beach Fire Department and Brevard County Rescue crews.

A passenger in the Nissan, 78-year-old Marta Ney of Cocoa Beach, Florida, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Bahus and Corapi were seriously injured in the crash and transported as trauma alerts to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.

Early on Saturday morning, investigators with the Cocoa Beach Police Department received notification that Corapi succumbed to his injuries.
