Sanford Motorcyclist Killed In Orange County Crash

A motorcyclist died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash that occurred near the intersection of State Road 429 and State Road 46 in Orange County, Florida Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, 2019.

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida –  A motorcyclist died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash that occurred near the intersection of State Road 429 and State Road 46 in Orange County, Florida around 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, 2019.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Francis Mascaro of Sanford, Florida was driving a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle on the on-ramp to southbound State Road 429.

For an unknown reason, the rider lost control and the Suzuki left the roadway.

The motorcycle then struck a culvert. The rider was ejected from the Suzuki upon impact.

Mascaro was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was later transported to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The motorcyclist was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, according to FHP reports.

The crash remains under investigation and a toxicology report is pending.
