TITUSVILLE, Florida – The Amber Alert issued for a local mother, Melanie Jean Martin, 30 of Titusville, Florida, and her two children Angel Sunday Burson, age 5 and Lloyd E. Burson, age 3, has been canceled

The Amber Alert was issued around 3:30 a.m. after a preliminary investigation revealed that on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Lloyd A. Burson, 35, abducted Melanie Martin and her two children at gunpoint in the area of the 1000 block of  3rd Avenue in Titusville.

Melanie Martin and her two children were last seen in a blue Sport Utility Vehicle driven by Lloyd A. Burson, the children’s father, and reported to be heading north on I-95 toward Volusia County.

Melanie Martin is African American with brown eyes, 5 foot 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. Angel Burson is African American with brown eyes, 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 42 pounds. Lloyd A. Burson is African American with brown eyes, 3 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 31 pounds.

Their abductor, Lloyd E. Burson is African American with brown eyes, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs approximately 200 pounds and considered armed and dangerous.
