Florida Girl, 12, Arrested For Making ‘Death List’ Of Fellow Students

WESTON, Florida – Broward County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 12-year-old girl for allegedly making a ‘death list’ of fellow students at her middle school in Weston, Florida.

Around 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019, a Falcon Cove Middle School student and her parent notified deputies in the Broward Sheriff’s Office Weston district of a threat posted on Snapchat.

The threat included a death list with student names from Falcon Cove Middle School.

Another threat was posted to the social media site later Friday afternoon that indicated the students were not safe and that they would be killed on Monday, December 9, 2019.

BSO detectives from the Threat Management Unit and Real-Time Crime Center were able to identify the source of the threats Friday evening.

The 12-year-old girl, a student at Falcon Cove Middle School, allegedly confirmed to investigators that she made the false threats.

The girl was arrested Saturday evening and transported to the Broward County Juvenile Assessment Center.

She faces two counts of a written threat to kill and false reporting concerning a firearm.

Falcon Cove Middle School in Weston, Florida is in the same Florida county where the Parkland mass shooting occurred.
