Pickup Truck Crashes Into Orlando Chuck E. Cheese

ORLANDO, Florida – A pickup truck crashed into a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant located at 7419 International Drive in Orlando, Florida around12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Mariano Gomez Ajtum of Orlando, Florida was backing up a 2003 Dodge pickup in the lot adjacent to the Chuck E. Cheese parking lot.

For an unknown reason, Ajtum failed to stop the pickup truck before it struck a building.

Surveillance video shows the truck backing up and crashing into the restaurant.

The impact caused a ceiling to partially cave in and damaged stalls inside the Chuck E. Cheese women’s bathroom.

Only a few patrons in the restaurant at the time and no one was injured in the crash.

No one was in the women’s restroom at the time of the crash, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

FHP troopers cited the driver for driving without a driver’s license and improper backing.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and the driver was wearing his seatbelt, according to FHP reports.
