PALM BEACH, Florida – U.S. President Donald Trump and the First Family will spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Florida along with millions of other Americans choosing the Sunshine State’s warm weather for the holidays.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump departed the White House on Friday and stopped at Joint Base Andrews to sign the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act that created a new Space Force and boosted wages, special pay, and bonuses for service members.

The First Family then flew out of Joint Base Andrews around 8:30 p.m. aboard Air Force One and landed at Palm Beach International Airport around 10:30 p.m. to spend the holidays at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

But the White House is not in want of holiday decorations while the First Family spends Christmas in Florida. The First Lady had the White House elaborately decorated for Christmas to entertain visitors, guests, and tourists.

The Pelosi Grinch Who Stole Trump’s Christmas

Although the House of Representatives passed Articles of Impeachment against Trump on Thursday, the President will have to wait until after the holidays for his likely acquittal in the U.S. Senate.

That’s because the U.S. Constitution does not set a deadline of when the Articles of Impeachment must be delivered from the House of Representatives to the Senate for trial.

Trump and fellow Republicans are accusing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of purposely delaying the delivery of the Articles of Impeachment in order to draw out the process in political gamesmanship.
