Florida Amber Alert Update: Father Found Dead, Baby Still Missing Miami

Ernesto Caballeiro is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 240 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. The infant is 1-week-old, Hispanic male, 20-inches-long, with black eyes.

MIAMI, Florida – An Amber Alert was issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for a missing newborn who may have been with his father following a triple homicide in Miami-Dade County.

According to FDLE, 49-year-old Andrew Caballeiro was last seen in the area of the 21900 block of Southwest 187th Avenue in Miami where three women were found dead on Tuesday afternoon.

But FDLE updated the Amber Alert after the father was found dead by the PAsco County Sheriff’s Office and the baby still remains missing.

“Pasco Sheriff’s deputies are on scene of a vehicle that is confirmed to be the subject of an AMBER Alert issued this morning, in a rural area of Blanton near I-75,” PCSO stated.

“We have identified an adult male matching a description of the subject of the AMBER Alert. He is deceased, however there is no sign of the child. Units are continuing to search the area, which is a large area. Please stay away from the area. We are working with Miami Dade Police.

If you have seen this vehicle in the last 36 hours, please immediately call your local law enforcement. The van has specific damage and stickers to help identify it.

Again, the suspect is deceased however, we are trying to gain additional information on the van’s travels.”

The infant is a week-old Hispanic male, 20-inches-long, with black eyes.
