Democratic presidential primary candidate Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) recent surge in the polls has drawn the attention of President Donald Trump and worry of establishment Democrats.
Nationally, Sanders rose to a strong second place with 20.3 percent of voters to Senator Joe Biden’s (D-DE) 29.3 %, according to a Real Clear Politics poll of polls.
Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) comes in at a distant third with 14.3% followed by Peter Buttigieg at 7.5%.
In Iowa, Sanders now leads with 20% percent of voters followed by Warren with 17%, Buttigieg at 16%, and Biden at 15%, according to a recent poll conducted by the Des Moines Register and CNN.
“Wow! Crazy Bernie Sanders is surging in the polls, looking very good against his opponents in the Do Nothing Party. So what does this all mean? Stay tuned!” Trump tweeted on Friday.

Establishment Democrats are worried that Sanders will once again hurt the party’s chances against Trump in the 2020 General Election just as he did in 2016.
But Sanders supporters think that this is his year to win the primary and beat Trump.
Sanders told the L.A. Times that if Biden were to win, Trump will “eat his lunch.”
