Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered that all public schools remain closed until April 15, 2020, in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The order adds on two weeks after Florida closed schools for an additional week to compliment the planned week off for Spring Break 2020.

All remaining testing for K though 12 has been canceled.

Parents may elect to hold their children back one year.

The Florida Department of Education may lower instructional hour requirements to accommodate the school closures.

Florida school districts will be permitted to help low-income students with internet service and computer technology for online instruction.
