Titusville Man Killed In State Road 50 Crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida – A Titusville, Florida man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash that occurred on State Road 50 near the Orange County / Brevard County line at approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

The 64-year-old Brevard County man was driving a Toyota from the access driveway to the airboat ride attraction onto the west side of State Road 50 (East Colonial Drive) near the St. John’s River.

Meanwhile, a 2004 Jeep SUV was traveling westbound on State Road 50.

As the Titusville man turned left to travel eastbound on State Road 50, the Toyota traveled into the direct path of the Jeep.

The front of the Jeep then collided with the left side of the Toyota.

The Titusville man was pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office. His identity has not been released pending next-of-kin notification.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, alcohol was not a factor in the crash and the drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The crash remains under investigation.
