Florida Man Makes Fake COVID-19 Sign To Avoid Arrest

PUTNAM COUNTY, Florida – A Florida man created a homemade “COVID-19 infected since 4/8/20” sign and taped it to his front door in an attempt to avoid being arrested for his outstanding felony warrants in Putnam County, Florida.

Sheriff’s deputies and detectives used protective gear when arresting 28-year-old Joshua Price on Will Tillis Road in Bardin, Florida on Thursday afternoon for felony flee and elude law enforcement and violation of probation warrants.

Investigators say that Price created the fake sign as his idea to avoid arrest.

“Placing a fake “Covid-19″ sign on your door will not stop us from kicking it in when you have felony warrants for your arrest,” the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office stated.

The Florida man was booked into the Putnam County Jail “with no indication that he has been exposed to the COVID-19,” the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office added.
