Titusville Motorcyclist Killed In State Road 46 Crash

ORLANDO, Florida – A Titusville man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a vehicle crash that occurred just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, on State Road 46 near the intersection of Tammy Drive in Brevard County, Florida.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Holly Nance of Oviedo, Florida, was driving a 2015 Honda Civic westbound on State Road 46.

Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man of Titusville, Florida was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on State Road 46.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Nance attempted to pass other westbound traffic in front of the Honda on the two-lane road and entered into the eastbound lane.

The front of the Honda then struck the motorcycle head-on.

The Titusville man was pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office.

His name has not yet been released pending next-of-kin notification.

According to FHP, alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.

Charges are pending against Nance.

The crash remains under investigation.
