Brevard County COVID-19 Cases Spike 3rd Day In A Row To 1,297

BREVARD COUNTY, Florida – The number of cases of coronavirus in Brevard County rose by 148 from 1,149 yesterday to 1,297 on Friday, June 26, 2020, the Florida Department of Health announced.

Brevard County’s overall case count spiked by 379 cases in just the last 3 days.

Statewide, Florida added 8,942 cases since yesterday –  a new record single-day high –  and now stands at 122,960.

7 males and 10 females have died in Brevard County. Their ages range from 63 to 94. Three of those deaths were associated with long-term care facilities.

37,915 people in Brevard have tested negative and 1,297 positive to date. 2 are inconclusive. 5 are awaiting testing.

The State of Florida does not publish the number of recovered coronavirus cases.

“I have asked the Department of Health to track and/or share statistics on “recovered” patients and was told that there are no plans to do that at present as they do not believe there is a standard method to determining “recovered,” Florida State Representative Randy Fine (R-Palm Bay) wrote on his Facebook page.
