Drive By Shooting In Cape Canaveral


CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida — A drive by shooting occurred around 2 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Orange Avenue in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

A 22-year-old male victim suffered a gun shot wound to the leg and was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies have closed the intersection where the incident took place to conduct their investigation.

10:00 a.m. UPDATE: The shooting took place in the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue.  The victim was in stable condition when he was air lifted via a Life Flight helicopter.   

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Cape Canaveral and East Precinct General Crimes Agents are currently following-up on some investigative leads.
