TITUSVILLE, Florida — The Titusville Police Department said that a four-year-old child was brought to Parish Hospital in Titusville, Florida this morning at 9:21 a.m. after suffering gunshot wound. The child was air lifted from Parish to a trauma center in Orlando, Florida this morning due to the child’s critical condition. Since then, the child underwent surgery and is now in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
According to police, the incident allegedly occurred at 1605 Craig Avenue in Titusville, Florida. Police say that based on statements from the parents, it appears the incident may be the result of an unsecured firearm.
Titusville Police are not releasing the name of the child at this time. Police are currently investigating the incident and have not been able to confirm what happened.
