COCOA BEACH, Florida – Just a few hours after a man was struck by lightning in front of the DoubleTree hotel in Cocoa Beach, lightning once again struck the beachside of State Road A1A.
This time, lightning struck the International Palms Resort located at 1300 North Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach, Florida, less than a mile south of the DoubleTree hotel.
No one was injured during the lightning strike, but power has been knocked out of a building located in the north wing of the resort.
Cocoa Beach Fire Rescue crews are on scene and assessing the fire damage and threat to the structure after the lightning strike.
