Extreme Heat For U.S. During 4th of July Weekend

COCOA BEACH, Florida — Thousands of vacationers flocked to the beach on the Space Coast this weekend to beat the Florida heat that feels like 100 degrees when humidity and lack of wind are factored into the 90 degree temperatures.

Th State of Florida will continue to see temperatures in the high 80’s to low 90’s through the 4th of July holiday according to the local National Weather Service in Melbourne, Florida.  However, Florida is not under an excessive heat warning like the many parts of the U.S.

Parts of the southeastern states of Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas are under and excessive heat warning issued by the National Weather Service.   Parts of the U.S. Midwest, Northeast, Central Atlantic Seaboard, and Mountains states are also under an excessive heat warning.
