Paint a Fire Truck At Surfers With Autism Event

COCOA BEACH, Florida — Join the Cocoa Beach Professional Firefighters as they support Surfers for Autism on June 8th at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach.  They will be helping with the event, providing free water, and you will be able to PAINT A FIRE TRUCK!!!

Surfers for Autism was born in the sands of Deerfield Beach in December of 2007 when a handful of local surfers with hearts as big as their ambition decided to take a handful of special athletes surfing.

At the inaugural event, a few dozen volunteers took a dozen children and young adults with autism and related special abilities surfing, and the rest is history. To date, SFA has introduced close to 10,000 special athletes and their families to the ocean’s healing powers.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a noon to 1 p.m. lunch break. SFA events are free for participating families and also serve as fundraisers.
