COCOA BEACH, Florida — Cocoa Beach Police have shut down State Road A1A (North Atlantic Avenue) due to an accident near the intersection of South Shepard Drive west of the Cocoa Beach Pier.

One southbound lane is open while northbound traffic should detour to northbound Ocean Beach Boulevard and return to northbound A1A at Young Avenue.

UPDATE: A1A has been reopened in all lanes.
