Weather 80% ‘GO’ For Delta IV Launch Thursday

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida — The launch of the GPS IIF-5 satellite aboard a Delta IV medium configuration rocket has an 80% favorable weather chance for launch at 8:40 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 20, 2014 with a 19-minute launch window.



As of Wednesday, the USAF 45th Weather Squadron says that there is an 80 percent chance overall of acceptable weather conditions at launch time, with a concern for cumulus clouds and solar activity.

The Delta IV will carry the military GPS satellite into space from Space Launch Complex-37B at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
