“It’s going to a really fun family event, with live music from GT Express and a Just for Kids area available and of course all that great food,” says Shawnta Price, Recreation Supervisor for the City of Palm Bay.
Palm Bay Mayor, William Capote, is the Grand Marshal and will open Food Truck Wars. The gourmet food trucks, from all over the state, will compete for 5 prestigious prizes awarded by celebrity judges. The competition includes: the Spirit Award, Top Sales, Delectable Desserts, Casual Cuisine and the coveted People’s Choice Award.
“We’re excited to bring Food Truck Wars back to Palm Bay,” said Heidi Lapin, director of Parks & Recreation. “We expect an even bigger turn out than last year and invite everybody to come out to EFSC and join in the fun.”
This year, in addition to an already great event, Food Truck Crazy, Inc. and the City of Palm Bay join forces to honor the military. The first 100 active duty or retired personnel to visit the voting station with their Military ID will be given $5 in “Food Truck Bucks”.
