3 Kittens Found With Chemical Burns In Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Florida – Detectives with the Titusville Police Department are investigating a possible case of animal cruelty involving three stray kittens that were found with severe to moderate chemical burns.

On Friday, August 7th, 2015, at approximately 3 p.m., Titusville police responded to a report of three kittens that were suffering from chemical burns.

Police say that a resident of the neighborhood, who had been feeding the kittens, saw the fresh wounds and immediately notified police.

It was reported that the kittens were stray and roamed the Pinecrest Street area with no apparent owners.

The kittens were transported to the SPCA of North Brevard for treatment where one kitten is in critical condition and another is in serious condition. The third kitten has two smaller chemical burns and is expected to make a full recovery.

There are currently no suspects, however, if anyone has any information about this crime, they are urged to contact the Titusville Police Department at (321) 264-7800.
