Fish Kill In Cape Canaveral, Florida

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida – Stinking, rotting fish line the high tide water mark from just north of Cherie Down Park northward to Jetty Park Beach in Cape Canaveral, Florida on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

The fish kill appears to be only a single species of fish and was first discovered Friday evening.

Whether the cause of the fish kill was manmade or natural, such as increased algal growth sparked by the recent Sahara Dust, remains to be determined.
