KISSIMMEE, Florida – The Florida Lottery announced that Carlos Del Valle, 46, of Kissimmee, claimed a $1 million prize from the POWERBALL drawing held on November 7, 2022, at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office.
The winning POWERBALL Quick Pick ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Power Ball number.
The Osceola County man purchased his $1 million-winning POWERBALL Quick-Pick ticket from Sunshine located at 1277 West Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach.
The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The next POWERBALL drawing will be held tonight at 10:59 p.m., ET, with an estimated $96 million jackpot. Tickets must be purchased by 10:00 p.m., ET to be eligible for this drawing.
The odds of winning the POWERBALL jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.
All POWERBALL prizes are set payouts, except the jackpot. The jackpot prize will be shared among winners in all POWERBALL states.
The jackpot will be paid in 30 annual payments or a one-time cash payment of a reduced amount. If there is no jackpot winner, the money in the jackpot pool rolls over to the next POWERBALL drawing.
Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per each.
Select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls. Then select one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.
To multiply your non-jackpot prizes, select the Power Play box. Power Play costs $1 more per play.
With Power Play, players can win $2 million for matching the five white balls or multiply his/her other non-jackpot prizes two to five times when the advertised jackpot is over $150 million, and up to 10 times when the advertised jackpot is $150 million or less.
Drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Tickets can be purchased until 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the night of the drawing.
